EUR USD Technical Analysis August 15 2018
The EUR declined 0.57% against the USD on Tuesday and closed at 1.1343. Today August 15, 2018 in the Asian session at 7:15 GMT, the EUR/USD trading at 1.1325, which is 0.15% lower against the USD from yesterday’s close.
In the US, data showed that the Small Business Optimism Index was the second highest in the 45-year history at 107.9, rising to 0.1 points from its record high of 108 in July 1983. The July 2018 report also recorded new records in terms of owners who reported the creation of job plans and those who have vacancies. The seasonally adjusted 23 percent is planning to create new jobs, up three points from June.Thirty-seven percent of all landlords reported job opportunities they could not fill in the current period, an increase of one point from June.
US import prices did not record any change in July. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics said yesterday, after a 0.1% drop in June. Lower fuel prices in July offset rising fuel prices. US export prices fell 0.5 percent in July after a 0.2 percent gain in June. Import prices did not register any change in July, after falling 0.1 percent in June. And rising 0.9 percent in May 2018.
When the US market opens, some Economic Data will be released such as Core Retail Sales,The Empire State Manufacturing Index, Retail Sales, Prelim Nonfarm Productivity , Prelim Unit Labor Costs , Capacity Utilization Rate, Industrial Production m/m, Business Inventories and NAHB Housing Market Index
The pair is expected to find support at 1.1300, and a fall through could take it to the next support level of 1.1265. The pair may find its first resistance at 1.1400, and a rise through could take it to the next resistance level of 1.1465.
